Jaybee Industries started in Bathinda in 1981, and Unit I on Malout Road is described as the oldest transformer manufacturing concern in Northern India. Core stamping and assembly still happen there, a short drive from the mandis, mills and feeders of the Malwa belt.

Unit I and the head office stand at 5 KM Stone, Malout Road, Bathinda 151002, which the company describes as the oldest transformer manufacturing concern in Northern India. Distribution transformers for Punjab districts
For factories, rice shellers, cold stores, colonies and commercial buildings across Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Patiala, Moga and Sangrur, we build oil-filled distribution transformers from 10 kVA to 2.5 MVA up to 33 kV, in single or three phase. Efficiency levels EEL1 to EEL5 to IS 1180 are available with CRGO or amorphous cores.
Furnace and heavy industry duty
Steel and re-rolling units in Mandi Gobindgarh and Ludhiana rely on induction furnaces. Our furnace duty transformers are designed for that thermal and electrical stress. For larger loads, power transformers from 2.5 MVA to 25 MVA up to 66 kV are built with the impedance, taps and losses the plant specifies.
More than one plant behind every order
Besides Bathinda, Jaybee builds at Kirpalpur near Nalagarh and at Ambala. Together the four units have a stated capacity of more than 3000 MVA a year and more than 800 customers. The range spans more than 13 transformer types, including dry-type, compact substations, solar inverter duty, earthing, isolation, auto, generator and booster transformers, as well as servo stabilisers.

The company holds ISO 9001:2015 and BIS certification and offers BEE star-labelled products. Its approvals and test records include Lloyds-UK, RITES, CPRI, ERDA and the National Test House, Ghaziabad. Routine tests are run on every transformer, and Jaybee received the BEE National Energy Conservation Award in 2021.
